A love of both the sciences and the Arts, led Siya Kulkarni from Newcastle to choose A Levels in Art, Physics and Maths as a foundation for an degree in Architecture.

Siya was ‘elated’ therefore today when she discovered she had achieved all A grades and had been awarded a place at Bath University to study the course of her dreams.

“It hasn’t quite sunk in but I am just overjoyed.  I have been completely focused on getting into Bath University to study architecture and I have worked very hard throughout the last two years to achieve my aim.  When I visited Bath, I completed connected with the city and the university and felt very much part of the community straight away.

“It is also been really helpful to meet and speak with Rachel Moberly who left NHSG last year and is also at Bath studying Architecture – I have already been in touch to let her know I am coming to join her!

”I am very much interested in sustainable architecture so whatever I do after my seven years of training I know I will ensure sustainability is an integral part.”

Siya’s mum was also at school sharing in the celebrations. Mrs Kulkarni said: “I have so many mixed emotions today, I am excited for Siya and feel proud but I am going to miss her when she’s at university.”
