Friday 10th February was “Pyjama Day” at Newcastle High, and the girls did not disappoint, arriving at school in an array of onesies, pyjamas and dressing gowns. Even a few staff members got involved in the fun!
The aim of the day was to raise money for this year’s whole School charity, Rainbow Trust, which supports the families of seriously ill children.
After lessons were finished for the day, the real excitement began and Senior girls were joined by girls in Years 5 and 6 for the School Slumber Party. Sixth Formers and House representatives worked hard to have a range of stalls on offer and girls had a lot of fun having their nails painted, their hair braided and sampling sweet treats before cosying up to watch Mamma Mia!.
In total, an amazing £2232.76 was raised – a fantastic achievement for the girls on behalf of a very worthy cause.
