Jessica’s hard work and determination paid off with an excellent set of GCSE results, with all ten GCSEs at top grades.
“I’ve always been very determined academically and knew I had worked hard,” she said. “Maths was the subject I was most worried about because the exam really threw me off, so I am delighted with my grade 8 in that subject”
Jessica admitted she was anxious about seeing her results, even though she felt her exams had gone well.
“My instant reaction was just happiness. I’d worked so hard for these.”
Jessica will now study Mathematics, Economics and Chemistry at A Level, with ambitions of pursuing Economics, Management or Finance at university before moving into the business world.
“I’ve always enjoyed Maths, and I’m really excited to start Economics as a new subject. I’m genuinely passionate about the choices I’ve made.”
Having attended NHSG since Nursery, Jessica is excited about the new opportunities Sixth Form will bring.
“It will feel different, and I’m really looking forward to focusing on subjects I enjoy as well as getting more involved in co-curricular activities.”
Jessica credits her success to organisation and consistency.
“My advice is to stay organised from the start and keep good notes as you go along. It makes revision so much easier later.”
She also praised the support of her teachers throughout the examination period.
“The teachers were always there for us before and after exams. It was great knowing they genuinely cared about us all.”
