Grace was thrilled to achieve results that exceeded her expectations which included 10 GCSEs at top grades.

Following the GCSE examinations, Grace kept herself occupied over the summer and has just completed a five-day lifeguard training course, although she admitted the final 24 hours before results day were particularly nerve-racking.

“I was incredibly nervous and just wanted to get it over with,” she said. “I ripped open the envelope really quickly this morning. I was so happy when I saw my results – they were much better than I expected. I am really proud of my Grade 9s in Biology, Chemistry and German.”

Inspired by her ambition to study Medicine, Grace has chosen Biology, Chemistry and Psychology alongside Politics at A Level at Sixth Form.

“I’ve always been fascinated by how the body works and would like a career where I can help people,” she said. “At the moment, emergency medicine is an area that really interests me.”

An active member of the School’s Current Affairs Club, Grace has also chosen to study Politics at A Level. She explained:  I think it’s very important to understand what’s happening in the world and to study Politics alongside my Science subjects.  I’m so excited to study this and my Science subjects in more depth.”

Reflecting on her school experience at NHSG, Grace praised the supportive atmosphere. “It’s such a good community. Everyone feels comfortable and you never feel embarrassed to ask questions.”

To celebrate her success, Grace will be heading out for a meal with her parents and grandparents.
