Anna was delighted to open an exceptional set of GCSE results, with all top grades including seven at Grade 9.
Having kept herself busy over the summer with the NHSG Sports Tour to South Africa and a packed schedule of activities, Anna admitted she felt a mixture of excitement and apprehension before collecting her results today.
“I had no idea what to expect, so it was really terrifying,” she said. “I was so happy when I opened my results and really pleased that I got all Grade 9s in Science subjects and a Grade 8 in Further Maths as it was a horrible paper!”
Anna will now study Biology, Chemistry and Psychology at A Level in Sixth Form at NHSG, and hopes to apply for a place in the Head Girl team alongside continuing her involvement in the School’s wide range of sports clubs.
Looking further ahead, she has her heart set on studying Veterinary Medicine at university. Anna’s long-standing ambition to become a vet has recently been reinforced through three weeks of work experience across small animal, farm and equine practices during the summer.
“I’ve always wanted to be a vet,” she explained. “Living in the countryside, I especially enjoyed the farm work experience, so that might be the pathway I choose eventually.”
Anna is planning to celebrate her results with her family.
