Georgina Lee, Year 12, shares her experience on a very informative vist from PwC.

Mr Brady from Price Waterhouse Cooper (PwC) visited school on 10 May 2018 to speak with Year 12 about career opportunities with this global company.

As I intend to study Maths at university this proved an opportunity too good to miss and I spent a very productive hour discussing options open to me after I secure a maths degree, as well as discussing how to apply for work experience with PwC.

Our discussion was very far reaching and I was very pleased to hear that the number of women in this field is set to increase in the near future. I hope to make full use of this on completion of a Maths degree. It is very encouraging to hear that a global company, such as PwC, has such a high regard for female employees in all areas of their business.

Mr Brady also provided an invaluable insight into the great variety of roles within the company worldwide.

We also discussed the role of AI (Artificial Intelligence) which I found very interesting in terms of how this will be used throughout businesses to help protect individuals and companies alike. This was something I had not considered previously but I will watch out for as a possible career option in the future.

All in all it was an extremely interesting talk that I am sure will prove invaluable to me during the next few years. I am very pleased that Mr Brady took the time to visit the school and share his wealth of experience with me.
