I especially want my thanks to go to every person who has contributed to the bursary fund as without this it would not have been possible for Lauren to attend NHSG and I will always be grateful.

A Bursary is Life Changing

Lauren is one of many girls at Newcastle High who has made the most of her time at School. Awarded a bursary in Year 7, Lauren made her mark at School and is now at Cambridge University reading Natural Sciences. Read more about recent bursary recipients here.

The Power of Education

Anyone connected with our school as a pupil, parent or member of staff knows the power of education and has seen the impact it has on each girl that attends NHSG. We also know that an NHSG education will support girls for the rest of their lives. That’s why we want as many girls as possible to benefit from an NHSG education, and the opportunities available, regardless of means.

We raise money through our bursary campaign (registered charity number 306983), to give bright and talented girls the opportunity to be part of NHSG.

A bursary is awarded at Year 7 or on entry to Sixth Form. Part bursaries are also awarded and there may be the opportunity for a bursary to be matched by other funding.

Each year we receive ever more bursary applications from talented students. We have to turn away all too many bright girls who could experience a life-changing NHSG education.
