Thankfully, both scored highly on results day.  Kane, who studied at the local boys’ school, gained A* A and C and is staying in Newcastle to study BiomedicineThe twins have chosen cities that are about as far apart as they could get – with Skye in Bristol and Kane in Newcastle.

Skye who took the lead as Maria in the school’s production of West Side Story at the start of the year will be performing again in the show at the Tyne Theatre and Opera House.  She has managed to juggle her studies with her drama commitments by taking her books and revision to rehearsals.

Skye said:

“I’m so delighted with my results, I thought the biology exam was dreadful but it can’t have been that bad – because I got an A!

“I am hoping to continue with my music and drama while at University – I managed it through my A levels as rehearsals for the show started at the end of May in the middle of exam season.   I used to take my books to rehearsals, it obviously worked!”

Tonight the Costelloes will be celebrating before Skye performs at Screen on The Green in Newcastle tomorrow to promote the West Side Story Production at the Tyne Theatre.
